SALEM – As part of the continued work at the Valley View Interchange, lane closures will be in place beginning tonight at 8 p.m. and through the week.

  • On Monday, May 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., a right lane closure will be in place along Valley View Boulevard westbound at the Target entrance to install signal pole arms.
  • On Tuesday, May 24, and Wednesday, May 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., a left lane closure will be in place on the off-ramp of exit 3C onto Valley View Boulevard from I-581 north to the traffic signal at Valley View Grande Cinemas to install signal pole arms. In addition, a left turn lane into the Target shopping Center from eastbound Valley View Boulevard will be shortened from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • From Monday, May 23 at 7 a.m. through Wednesday, May 25th at 5 p.m., a right turn lane exiting the Target/Staples/BestBuy/Petsmart shopping center will be closed to relocate a fire hydrant. Traffic will still be able to make the right hand turn to access westbound Valley View Boulevard from the adjacent lane.
  • On Wednesday, May 25, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a double right lane closure on I-581 northbound will be in place to remove the current single right lane closure that is in place.

Drivers approaching the area are encouraged to slow down and use caution through the work zone.
