TRAFFIC ALERT: EXTENDED LANE CLOSURES ON INTERSTATE 81 SCHEDULED TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK FOR BRIDGE WORK IN PULASKI COUNTY

SALEM – Beginning Sunday, July 17, at 7 p.m., extended lane closures have been scheduled for bridge work at mile marker 94 on northbound and southbound I-81, weather permitting.

On Sunday, July 17, at 7 p.m., through Wednesday morning, July 20, at 8 a.m., a right lane closure will be in place on I-81 northbound at mile marker 94.

On Wednesday, July 20, at 6 p.m., through Thursday morning, July 21, at 11 a.m., a right lane closure will be in place on I-81 southbound at mile marker 95.

On Sunday, July 24, at 7 p.m., through Wednesday morning, July 27, at 10 a.m., a right lane closure will be in place on I-81 northbound at mile marker 94.

The time of completion each week and when the lanes can be re-opened to traffic is approximate as lane closures must stay in place until the work is completed and any concrete pours have cured.

The project is expected to be complete in September, weather permitting.
