SALEM DISTRICT:  COLD TEMPERATURES MAY HAVE CREATED ICY SPOTS

SALEM – This morning, drivers will find the interstates and primary roads (those numbered 1-599) clear but should use caution on secondary roads (those numbered 600 and above) where there may be icy spots due to overnight snow showers or refreezing from low temperatures.

Watch for isolated slick spots particularly on secondary routes in Carroll, Floyd, Giles and Patrick counties.

Traffic and road condition information can be obtained by dialing 511 or visiting www.511Virginia.org

The Salem District includes the counties of Bedford, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pulaski and Roanoke.
