TRAFFIC ALERT: WILLIAMSON ROAD WORK TO IMPACT MORNING COMMUTE IN ROANOKE COUNTY
Drivers should seek alternate routes this morning

SALEM – Overnight work on Route 11 (Williamson Road) in Roanoke County will impact the morning commute.

A work zone is in place on Williamson Road between Peters Creek Road and Route 623 (Dent Road).  Williamson Road is reduced to one lane and flaggers are controlling traffic.

Overnight work to replace a pipe was expected to be completed by 6 a.m., but crews now estimate the work zone will remain in place until 8 a.m.
