TRAFFIC ALERT: SLOW ROLLS SCHEDULED ON INTERSTATE 81 IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THIS WEEKEND

SALEM – On Saturday, September 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., intermittent slow rolls will occur between mile markers 116 and 124 on Interstate 81, northbound and southbound, as A.E.P. installs power lines across the Interstate at mile marker 119.9. Drivers approaching the area are encouraged to slow down, prepare for a decrease in speed on the Interstate and use caution through the work zone.

In addition, a right shoulder closure on northbound and southbound I-81 between mile markers 119 and 121 will be in place from September 21 through September 24 during daytime hours as crews continue to work on the installation of the power lines.

Signage and traffic control will be in place to assist motorists approaching the area. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.
