TRAFFIC ALERT: SLOW ROLLS AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR INTERSTATE 581 AT VALLEY VIEW THIS WEEK

UPDATED DUE TO WEATHER - 6/9/15

SALEM – As part of the ongoing work at the Valley View Interchange project on Interstate 581, lane closures and slow rolls will be in place next week, weather permitting, as the beams for the pedestrian bridge are erected as the pedestrian bridge construction begins.

On Sunday, June 7, Interstate 581 southbound will have a left lane closure in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with intermittent 15-minute long slow rolls. I-581 northbound will have a left lane closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

On Monday, June 8, I-581 southbound will have a left lane closure in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with intermittent 15-minute long slow rolls.

On Tuesday, June 9, Interstate 581 northbound and southbound will have a double left lane closure in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with intermittent 15-minute long slow rolls.

On Wednesday, June 10, I-581 northbound will be detoured onto exit 3C for Valley View Boulevard to Hershberger West to get back onto I-581 northbound from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. I-581 southbound will have a left lane closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

On Thursday, June 11, I-581 northbound will be detoured onto exit 3C for Valley View Boulevard to Hershberger West to get back onto I-581 northbound from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. I-581 southbound will have a left lane closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

On Friday, June 12, I-581 northbound and southbound will have a double left lane closure in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with intermittent 15-minute long slow rolls.

Drivers will continue to see changes in the landscape on either side of I-581 and they are encouraged to slow down and use caution through the work zone. Motorists should expect possible delays.
