TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 670 AND 692 TO CLOSE FOR CULVERT REPLACEMENTS IN CARROLL COUNTY

SALEM – Two culvert replacement projects will close routes in Carroll County beginning on Monday.

On April 13 at 8 a.m., Route 670 (Snake Creek Road) will close for a pipe culvert replacement located approximately 0.8 mile from Route 58 in Hillsville. Signs will be posted and drivers will need to find an alternate route. The road is expected to re-open on April 14 by 3 p.m.

Work has already begun on Route 692 (Pauls Creek Road) for a pipe culvert replacement. On April 13, the road will be closed to thru traffic at the culvert for four weeks. A detour will be in place and signs will assist motorists with traffic control. The road is expected to re-open in mid-May.

The completion of these projects are weather dependent.
