TRAFFIC ALERT: LANE AND RAMP CLOSURES SCHEDULED ON ELM AVENUE FOR SIGNAL AND SIGN INSTALLATION NEXT WEEK

SALEM – As the Interstate 581 and Elm Avenue interchange project in Roanoke reaches completion, lane and ramp closures will be in place next week for additional work.

On Monday, August 24 through Friday, August 28, there will be intermittent closures on Elm Avenue and ramps to I-581 for signage and signal cable installation from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers should expect temporary stoppages on Elm Avenue eastbound and westbound for the removal of temporary signals.

This work is weather permitting. Drivers are encouraged to watch for signs and message boards and to use caution as they travel through the work zone.
