TRAFFIC ALERT: SIGNAL WORK SCHEDULED ON ROUTE 58 IN CARROLL COUNTY AND ROUTE 460 IN BLACKSBURG

SALEM – Weather permitting, work on two traffic signals will require the signals to be turned off temporarily while local police control traffic this week at two different locations.

One signal is located on Route 58 in Carroll County and one is on Route 460 in Blacksburg.    Drivers should pay particular attention at these intersections and use caution.

On Tuesday, July 7, a crew will work on the signal at Route 58’s intersection with Route 743/Route 706 (Airport Road/Farmers Market Drive).  The signal is located west of Hillsville between Interstate 77 and Woodlawn.  Local law enforcement will control traffic for approximately four hours starting at 10 a.m.

On Wednesday, July 8, a crew will work on the signal located at the Route 460 ramp connection to Toms Creek Road in Blacksburg.  Local police will control traffic at the intersection for approximately four hours starting at 9:30 a.m.
