TRAFFIC ALERT: PAVING ON SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 220 IN FRANKLIN COUNTY AT BOONES MILL TO START NEXT WEEK
Daytime paving to start Monday, July 13

SALEM – Starting next week, alternating lane closures may be in place on southbound Route 220 in Franklin County for paving and line marking between Route 684 (Boones Mill Road) in Boones Mill and Route 691 (Burgess Road).  Drivers should expect lane closures on southbound Route 220 at various times during daytime, nighttime and overnight hours on weekdays.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to be performed as follows:

  • Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day
  • Tuesday, July 14 from 8 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 15
  • Wednesday, July 15 from 8 p.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16
  • Thursday, July 16 from 8 p.m. until noon on Friday, July 15

Motorists should use caution in the work zone and watch for signs
