TRAFFIC ALERT: EXPECT POSSIBLE DELAYS ON TENTH STREET IN ROANOKE

SALEM – Starting next week, road crews will be performing drilling operations to make test borings on northbound 10th Street in Roanoke between Orange Avenue and Hanover Avenue.

Work tentatively is scheduled on weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15 through Friday, Oct 24.

The northbound travel lane of Tenth Street will be narrowed during drilling operations.  Drivers should use caution in the work zone, pay attention to signs and expect possible delays.

These dates are tentative and could be adjusted depending on weather and work schedule.

The test borings are needed to develop plans for a future road improvement project.
