The rescheduled date will be announced once it is determined

SALEM – Beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 7, crews will close a section of Route 1767 (Old Farm Road) in Roanoke County for emergency pipe repairs.  Water service to some residents in the area will be interrupted from approximately 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday.

In addition, an alternate route is not available. VDOT will provide transportation for residents from the repair site to their vehicles in a nearby parking area.

The repairs will continue until 5 p.m. Monday, July 8. This pipe was damaged during the rain on Tuesday, July 3.

Approximately 14 homes are affected by the closure. VDOT crews will be in the area tomorrow to notify as many residents as possible.
