TRAFFIC ALERT: UTILITY WORK WILL CLOSE ONE LANE ON ROUTE 221 IN ROANOKE COUNTY

SALEM –   On Wednesday, March 20, one lane of southbound Route 221 (Brambleton Avenue) in Roanoke County will be closed as crews complete sewer work in the area. The work is expected to take place from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The lane closure will begin near Route 1623 (Wedgwood Road) and will end just south of Route 1621 (Harris Street). Drivers should use caution when traveling in this area.

In addition, Route 1621 will be closed from Route 221 to Route 1615 (Fleetwood Avenue) while the work is taking place. Detour signs will direct traffic to an alternate route.
