TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 686 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT IN FRANKLIN COUNTY TO IMPACT TRAFFIC
SALEM – Beginning Monday, July 30, 2012 a section of Route 686 (White Oak Road) in the Burnt Chimney area of Franklin County will be closed to replace the bridge over Branch Maggodee Creek.
The work is located on Route 686 approximately 1 mile from Route 684 (Boones Mill Road) and 1.4 miles from Route 687 (Alean Road).
Detour signs are posted advising traffic of alternate routes. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and expect delays.
Weather permitting, Route 686 is estimated to reopen on Friday, August 10.
