SALEM – Beginning Monday, June 4, shoulder work on Route 311 in Roanoke County may require lane closures from Route 419 (Electric Road) to Route 785 (Blacksburg Road). Traffic on Route 311 will be controlled with pilot trucks and flaggers.

Weather permitting, the work will take place on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drivers should use caution when traveling in this area. Mobile message boards will be in place to alert drivers.

The work is expected to be completed in mid-June.
