TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 630 BRIDGE IN FLOYD COUNTY TO BE CLOSED FOR REPAIRS

SALEM –   Beginning Monday, April 30, the Route 630 (Burks Fork Road) bridge over Burks Fork Creek in Floyd County will be closed to through traffic due to repairs.  The bridge is located about one mile south of Route 630’s intersection with Route 786 (Laurel Knob Road).

Weather permitting, the bridge is expected to remain closed for approximately five days.   Drivers can follow posted signs to detour around the closure.

For the week starting Monday, April 23, flaggers may control traffic on the bridge at times during daylight hours on weekdays.

These dates are tentative and could be adjusted depending on weather and work schedule.
