SALEM –   Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 7 a.m., a section of Route 610 (Hummingbird Lane) in Floyd County will be closed to install a new pipe.

The road will be closed from 0.5 mile from Route 221 (Floyd Highway) to Route 648 (Jacks Mill Road). There will be no posted detour and drivers should seek an alternate route.

Weather permitting, Route 610 will reopen to traffic at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.
