SALEM DISTRICT CREWS CONTINUE TO MONITOR ROADS FOLLOWING HURRICANE SANDY

                                                          

SALEM – The Virginia Department of Transportation’s Salem District worked overnight and today to remove debris and downed trees resulting from the high winds, rain and snow caused by Hurricane Sandy. Reduced crews will continue to be on duty overnight throughout the district to monitor road conditions and respond as needed.

To report downed trees or hazardous road conditions call VDOT’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). Calls to report downed power lines should be directed to your local power company.
