VDOT WILL HOLD MEETING TO DISCUSS PLANS TO REPLACE THE ROUTE 61 BRIDGE IN NARROWS
SALEM— On Thursday, July 16, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a citizen information meeting to discuss plans to replace the Route 61 bridge over the New River in Narrows. The bridge will be replaced using funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The citizen information meeting will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Narrows Community Center located at 110 Mary Street, Narrows, Va 24124.
Two identical formal presentations will be given at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. VDOT representatives will be present to answer questions and explain the project.
Written comments about the project may be submitted at the meeting or until Monday, July 27, 2009 by mail to Mr. Richard L. Caywood, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 3071, Salem, Va. 24153. E-mail comments can be sent to saleminfo@VDOT.virginia.gov.
