TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 820 IN CARROLL COUNTY TO CLOSE DUE TO DRAINAGE STRUCTURE INSTALLATION

SALEM – Weather permitting, a section of Route 820 (Freemont Road) in Carroll County will be closed beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, so a drainage structure can be installed as part of the Route 58 Hillsville Bypass construction project.

Route 820 will be closed near its intersection with Route 58 (Danville Pike) on the eastern end of the bypass construction project.

The road is expected to remain closed for about a week.  During the closure, drivers can detour onto Route 668 (Cavalier Drive).  Detour signs will be posted.
