VDOT INVITES THE PUBLIC TO COLONIAL HEIGHTS ROUNDABOUT DEMONSTRATION AT COLONIAL HEIGHTS PUBLIC LIBRARY
Project team members will be present with a walkable floor mat of the new traffic pattern
COLONIAL HEIGHTS — Following the new I-95/Temple Ave. roundabout opening on Monday, Oct. 2 in Colonial Heights, the project team will be available to demonstrate the new traffic pattern on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 3-6:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Public Library. The library is located at 1000 Yacht Basin Dr., Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
The demonstration will be conducted as an open house, where a 30-foot by 24-foot walkable floor mat will be displayed for interested attendees to experience the new traffic pattern.
The project team will continue to be available to the public for demonstrations and presentations, as requested. So far, over 20 presentations and demonstrations have been made around the community for interested stakeholders.
Construction on the project is expected to wrap up in November 2017. Final concrete work, overhead lighting installation, paving and pavement markings installation will be completed over the next few weeks.
