VDOT TO HOLD CITIZEN INFORMATION MEETING ON ROUTE 60 CORRIDOR EAST SPECIAL AREA PLAN IN POWHATAN
Public invited to learn more about the project December 7 at Huguenot Public Safety Building
SOUTH CHESTERFIELD —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a citizen information meeting on efforts to prepare a special area plan and vision for the Route 60 corridor from the eastern Powhatan County limits to Rocky Oak Road. The special area plan will recommend strategies to address land use and transportation issues based on recommendations for residential/commercial build-out scenarios along the Route 60 corridor study area. This is the second meeting to solicit community input regarding the future of this corridor.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Huguenot Public Safety Building, located at 1959 Urbine Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. This meeting will be largely an open house format, which will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to learn more about the special area plan.
Anyone requiring special assistance to attend and participate in this meeting may contact VDOT’s Civil Rights Division at (804) 524-6091 or TDD/TTY 711.
