TRANSPORTATION BOARD AWARDS THREE PAVING CONTRACTS IN RICHMOND DISTRICT
Pavement restoration worth $26.5 million coming to Chesterfield, Mecklenburg counties
COLONIAL HEIGHTS — The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded three contracts for pavement rehabilitation worth approximately $26.5 million today at its monthly meeting. The maintenance projects will improve safety and mobility and provide life extension for the existing infrastructure.
The three contracts will restore pavement in Chesterfield and Mecklenburg counties, which include awards to:
- Curtis Contracting Inc. of West Point, Va., for approximately $11.3 million to restore the pavement on Route 288 in both directions, from just north of Route 10 (Iron Bridge Road) to Interstate 95, in Chesterfield County. Completion is expected in September 2017.
- Slurry Pavers Inc. of Richmond, for approximately $9.3 million for pavement maintenance in Mecklenburg County. The work will include latex resurfacing on various routes.
- Slurry Pavers Inc. of Richmond, for approximately $5.9 million, for pavement maintenance in Chesterfield County. The work will include slurry resurfacing on various routes.
