TRANSPORTATION BOARD AWARDS CONTRACT FOR INTERSTATE 295 PAVING PROJECT IN PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY
Project worth $7.4 million will restore pavement from Interstate 95 to Route 460

COLONIAL HEIGHTS — At its monthly meeting earlier today, the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded a contract for pavement rehabilitation worth approximately $7.4 million of State of Good Repair funds to Curtis Contracting, Inc., of West Point. The project will improve safety and mobility and provide life extension for the existing infrastructure.

The work will include patching concrete pavement and laying a thin asphalt overlay on Interstate 295 northbound from I-95 to Route 460 (mile marker 3) in Prince George County.

The work is expected to be complete by the end of the 2017 paving season.
