INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT UNDERWAY IN HENRICO COUNTY
Project completion expected in December 2016

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD – Starting this week, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and contractors will begin a safety improvements project for the intersection of Huguenot Road and River Road in Henrico County. The $1 million project will improve the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists. New accommodations will include sidewalks along Huguenot Road, intersection pedestrian crosswalks, signal modifications and a pedestrian/bicycle path from Gamble Mill Road.

Drivers can expect periodic lane closures and/or lane shifts throughout the project, which will take place during daytime hours. The project is expected to be complete in December 2016.

For more information about the intersection improvements project, visit http://www.virginiadot.org/projects/richmond/intersection_improvements_at_huguenot_road.asp.
