VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS IN POWHATAN COUNTY
The hearing will address proposed construction at Maidens Road and Old River Trail
COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a design public hearing on an improvements project proposed for the intersection of Maidens Road (Rt. 522) and Old River Trail (Rt. 617) in Powhatan County.
The hearing will be held Wednesday, June 24 from 5-7 p.m. at the Powhatan County Public Library, located at 2270 Mann Road, Powhatan, VA 23139.
The hearing will address the intersection improvements, including adding turn lanes, widening existing lanes and improving shoulders and drainage near the Powhatan State Park. The hearing will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.
Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the hearing or until July 6 by mailing them to Scott Chapman, Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002.
