VDOT TO HOLD CITIZEN INFORMATION MEETING ON ASHLAND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
Project includes increased capacity and pedestrian accommodations at Routes 1 and 54

COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a citizen information meeting on an improvement project at the intersection of England Street (Route 54) and N. Washington Highway (Route 1) in the Town of Ashland. The project will add turn and through lanes for vehicles and pedestrian accommodations, including sidewalks, crosswalks and pedestrian signals.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 10 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Ashland Town Hall, located at 101 Thompson Street. A presentation will be held at 5:30 p.m. followed by an open house from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. The meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.
