VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON PARK PHASE OF VIRGINIA CAPITAL TRAIL PROJECT
New alignment could run near Henrico County parks
COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a location and design public hearing on the proposed Park Phase alignment of the Virginia Capital Trail project in Henrico County.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Varina Elementary School, located at 2551 New Market Road, Henrico, VA 23231. The hearing will address the proposal to construct a stand-alone shared use path along Route 5 and north to Dorey Park between Wood Mill Drive and Rocky Hill Farm Drive in Henrico County. The hearing will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organization to give VDOT input on the project.
Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the hearing or until October 20 by mailing them to W. Douglas Harvey, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002.
