VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS IN POWHATAN COUNTY
Improvements will impact area near Powhatan State Park

COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public information meeting on proposed intersection improvements near the Powhatan State Park in Powhatan.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Powhatan Village Community Building, located at 3910 Old Buckingham Road, Powhatan, VA 23219.

The hearing will address the proposal to improve access to the Powhatan State Park at the intersection of Maidens Road (Route 522) and Old River Trail (Route 617) and will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the hearing or until October 4 by mailing them to Meaghan O’Brien, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002. Comments also can be emailed to Meaghan.OBrien@VDOT.Virginia.gov. Please reference “Powhatan State Park intersection improvements comments” in the subject line.
