TRANSPORTATION BOARD APPROVES TWO CENTRAL VIRGINIA CONTRACTS VALUED AT $10 MILLION
COLONIAL HEIGHTS—The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) approved two contracts last month valued at approximately $10 million for central Virginia asphalt paving throughout 2010.
Colony Construction, Inc. of Powhatan, VA was awarded a $5.3 million contract and Lee Hy Paving Corporation of Glen Allen, VA was awarded a $4.6 million contract. Both contracts were awarded to pave various routes within the Richmond District.
The Richmond District is comprised of Amelia, Brunswick, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, New Kent, Nottoway, Powhatan and Prince George counties, the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg and Richmond and the towns of Alberta, Ashland, Blackstone, Boydton, Brodnax, Burkeville, Chase City, Clarksville, Crewe, Kenbridge, La Crosse, Lawrenceville, Mckenney, South Hill and Victoria.
