Madison and Pendleton Street direct access to Route 50 closed for about eight weeks

MIDDLEBURG– Starting tonight, direct access from Madison and Pendleton streets to Route 50 (Washington Street) will be closed for approximately eight weeks, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation, as crews continue work to complete traffic-calming, pedestrian and safety improvements in the Town of Middleburg.

Motorists on Madison Street and Pendleton Street will be able to access Route 50 by following detour signage.

Access to businesses in the affected areas will be maintained.

The entire Route 50 Traffic Calming project is scheduled for completion in October 2016.
