I-395 SOUTH WIDENING PUBLIC HEARING NEXT WEEK
Join VDOT April 14 to learn about fourth lane planned between Duke Street and Edsall Road

ALEXANDRIA – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Thursday, April 14 on plans to widen southbound I-395 from three to four lanes between Duke Street and Edsall Road (about 2.7 miles). The widening would fill the gap where there are already four lanes north and south of the project, to eliminate a bottleneck through the Landmark area.

The public is invited to stop by from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bren Mar Park Elementary School, 6344 Beryl Road in Alexandria. The meeting will be an open-house format with project displays and information, and VDOT staff will be available to discuss and answer any questions about the project.

Comments can be provided at the hearing or sent to VDOT by May 2, 2016. Email meeting_comments@vdot.virginia.gov (reference I-395 South Widening in the subject line) or send my mail to Project Manager Mr. Calvin Britt, P.E., 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
