TRAFFIC STOPS AT ROUTE 7/BELMONT RIDGE ROAD BEGIN TOMORROW
Expect a 15-minute stop each Tuesday, Thursday through March 24
ASHBURN – Motorists will want to avoid the intersection of Route 7 and Belmont Ridge Road/Route 659 during the late morning hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 5 through March 24.
Between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m., police will stop traffic on both roads for blasting operations as part of Washington Gas’ gas main relocation for the Route 7/659 interchange project. There will be one stoppage per day lasting up to 15 minutes. Each stoppage will occur as close to 10:00 a.m. as possible.
The dates and times of the stoppages are weather dependent.
