SPRINGVALE ROAD DETOUR SATURDAY
Crews paving bridge over Piney Run

GREAT FALLS –From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, the Springvale Road bridge over Piney Run in Great Falls will be closed to pave the timber deck, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes to minimize impacts.

Traffic on Springvale will be detoured via Georgetown Pike, Utterback Store Road and Route 7 back to Springvale (see map). Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists. Residents will still have local access on either side of the bridge closure.

Electronic message signs are in place to notify drivers of the scheduled work.
