NB I-95 LANE CLOSURES NEAR PRINCE WILLIAM PKWY., EXIT 158 RESCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT AND THURSDAY, AUG. 6
Closures include 20-30 minute total stoppages after midnight for sign placement
FAIRFAX: - Drivers can expect multiple lane closures on I-95 North near Exit 158 at the Prince William Parkway (Route 294) during overnight hours on Tuesday, Aug. 4 and Thursday, Aug. 6.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), lanes will begin closing at 9 p.m. each night, and there will be intermittent full closures after midnight, lasting between 20 to 30 minutes. All lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. the next morning. In the event of inclement weather, work would be rescheduled.
The closures are needed for crews to erect a new overhead sign. This work is part of the 95 Shoulder Improvement Project, which includes new auxiliary lanes and widened safety shoulders on a seven-mile stretch of I-95 between Dumfries Road and the Prince William Parkway. New guardrail and lighting are being added as well.
