BULL RUN POST OFFICE ROAD CLOSURE STARTS MONDAY
Paving of gravel surface will occur over five weeks

CENTREVILLE – Starting Monday morning, September 28, Bull Run Post Office Road will be closed from Cedar Ridge Boulevard to just south of the entrance to Cardinal Ridge Elementary School in order to replace the gravel road surface with pavement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The paving will occur from Buffalo Run Lane to just south of the entrance to Cardinal Ridge Elementary School. In addition, the ditches will be restored along this stretch of road.

The closure will remain in place until late October. Only residents within the work zone and emergency responders will have access during this time.

Through traffic will be detoured via Cedar Ridge Boulevard, Gum Spring Road and Braddock Road.

The project is being carried out under VDOT’s Rural Rustic Road Program, which aims to preserve the traditional feel of a rural road while making surface and other improvements within the current right-of-way. For more information on the Rural Rustic Road Program, click here.
