ROUTE 7/15 BYPASS CLOSURES BEGIN MONDAY
Nightly lane closures at Sycolin Road for next two weeks

Leesburg—Crews will begin two weeks of overnight bridge beam work at Sycolin Road on Monday, Nov. 4. Motorists can expect lane closures beginning at 7 p.m. and 20-minute intermittent complete road closures from midnight until 5 a.m. each night at the Route 7/15 bypass and Sycolin Road overpass under construction. Motorists should consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

An alternate route to avoid traffic delays is to follow Route 7 east to Battlefield Parkway west to the Dulles Greenway west to Route 7 west. See a map showing these routes. The section of the Dulles Greenway from Battlefield Parkway to Route 7 is toll free.

The $17.7-million project to build Sycolin Road over the Route 7/15 bypass is expected to be complete in October 2014. For more information visit the VDOT project page.
