NIGHT CLOSURES ON ROUTE 50, I-95 AND ROUTE 29 DEC. 3 - 5
Mounted sign structure replacement
Fairfax/Loudoun County—Drivers can expect nightly lane closures after Thanksgiving weekend. Crews will begin setting one full-span overhead sign structure and several cantilever sign structures.
Tuesday, Dec. 3, 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.: Route 50 northbound (Arlington Boulevard) is scheduled to close two lanes from Williams Drive to Gallows Road.
Wednesday, Dec. 4, 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.: Route 50 northbound (Arlington Boulevard) is scheduled to close one lane from the ramp to I-495 northbound to Fairview Park Drive.
Wednesday, Dec. 4, 11 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.: I-95 southbound is scheduled to close one lane on the ramp to Dale Boulevard.
Thursday, Dec. 5, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.: Route 29 northbound (Lee Highway) is scheduled to close two lanes from Summit Drive to Fairfax County Parkway.
These nightly closures may include 15-minute stoppages on all lanes. Signs and message boards will be set up. State Troopers will also be on site. Drivers should use alternate routes and avoid work areas as traffic will be slow.
