NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN AT COLUMBIA PIKE AND I-395
Eastbound Rt. 244 to I-395 North will use new left turn

Update 12/18/13: Please note that this shift has been postponed until January due to additional signal work. A new date will be announced soon.

Arlington—Beginning Thursday, Dec. 19, drivers heading to I-395 from eastbound Columbia Pike in Arlington will use a new traffic pattern:

• Traffic going to I-395 North will now turn left at the signal at S. Quinn Street (currently this traffic uses the ramp on the right). Look for the dedicated left-turn lane.

• Traffic heading to I-395 South will go straight through the light at S. Quinn Street and continue to use the ramp on the right.

Work to complete the switch will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday. Message signs will be in place to notify drivers of the new traffic pattern.

This new access is part of the $51.5 million project to replace the Washington Boulevard bridge over Columbia Pike. The project will be complete in summer 2015.
