OLD LINTON HALL ROAD RE-OPENS TODAY
GAINESVILLE―Two-way traffic on Old Linton Hall Road will be restored by noon today, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The road has been limited to southbound traffic only between Whitney Road and Lakeview Drive since mid-October, while crews installed a 24-inch water main as part of the Route 29/Linton Hall Road interchange project.
Some striping work is still planned, and final surface asphalt will be placed in the spring.
Details on the entire $267 million Route 29/Linton Hall Road interchange project, which will be complete in 2015, are available on the VDOT project page.
