NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN ON COLUMBIA PIKE AT WASHINGTON BOULEVARD

ARLINGTON─ A new traffic pattern on eastbound Columbia Pike at the Washington Boulevard bridge takes effect on or about Dec. 11 and will remain in place through 2014.

One of two eastbound lanes below the bridge will be closed to traffic. Motorists on eastbound Columbia Pike can use the left lane to continue east or to access the ramp to Washington Boulevard. Motorists in the right lane must take the exit ramp to Washington Boulevard. See a graphic of the new pattern.

The Virginia Department of Transportation’s construction project to replace the Washington Boulevard Bridge over Columbia Pike will be complete in summer 2015. More information is available on the VDOT project page.
