VDOT CREWS CONTINUE TREATING ICY PATCHES

FAIRFAX – Morning commuters will find interstates and other major roads clear of ice and snow but need to use extra caution in subdivisions where icy patches remain.

Virginia Department of Transportation crews continued working in subdivisions throughout the night, treating hills, curves and other trouble spots with a mixture of salt and sand to improve traction and help melt the ice once temperatures rise later today.

Crews will continue working today to treat trouble spots.
