ODD FELLOWS ROAD INTERCHANGE BRIDGE WORK TO RESULT IN TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE ON US 29/460
LYNCHBURG – Motorists who regularly use US 29/460 in the City of Lynchburg may expect a nighttime change of traffic pattern coming in April while girders are erected on the Odd Fellows Road Interchange bridge over the roadway.
On April 17, 18 and 19, Route 29 North/460 East will be closed at Candler’s Mountain Road. Traffic will be detoured onto Candler’s Mountain Road; motorists will then be directed to use Route 29 Business North (Lynchburg Expressway) to Campbell Avenue (Route 501 Business South) to return to Route 29/460.
Again, on April 24, 25 and 26, Route 29 South/460 West will be closed at Campbell Avenue (Route 501 Business North) and traffic will detoured onto Campbell Avenue, Route 29 Business South (Lynchburg Expressway), Candler’s Mountain Road and back to Route 29/460.
Work will take place from 11 pm to 5 am each night, weather permitting and Virginia State Police will be on hand to assist with traffic.
Message boards will alert motorists to this change in traffic pattern.
