SPEED LIMIT REDUCED ON SECTION OF US 460 EAST/29 NORTH

LYNCHBURG – Early next week, the reduced 45 mph speed limit on Route 460 East/29 North will be extended to include the area from Candlers Mountain Road to US 501 (Campbell Avenue) in the City of Lynchburg.

This reduction is necessary because of increased construction traffic entering and exiting US 29/460 from the median area.

Currently, the speed is reduced on the US 460 corridor east- and westbound from approximately US 29 to Candlers Mountain Road for several construction projects, including Phase II of the 29/460 Access Management Project and the Odd Fellows Road Interchange and Extension project.

Information about the Odd Fellows project may be reviewed at http://bit.ly/2baT4z9; while background on the Access Management project can be seen at http://bit.ly/2aEmgOf.
