ROUTE 633 BRIDGE WORK WILL RESTRICT LANE IN PRINCE EDWARD CO.

LYNCHBURG – Working with their partner, Norfolk Southern Railroad, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and its contractor, Burleigh Construction Co. Inc. has scheduled May 23, 2016 as the official starting date of the Route 633, Virso Road bridge repair project in Prince Edward County.

A temporary signal will be used to allow for one-way traffic on the structure during this work. The lane width will be restricted to 13 feet.

The approximately $240,000 project will clean the bridge’s superstructure, sand blast and paint areas subject to corrosion, replace joint materials and apply a new asphalt surface.

The project is slated for completion in late-August.
