AEP WORK WILL RESULT IN TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 460 BYPASS
Detour in place Saturday night into Sunday morning

LYNCHBURG—The installation of new transmission lines will result in the temporary closure of the Route 460 Bypass in Campbell County. American Electric Power (AEP) will install new lines across Route 460, just west of the Leesville Road interchange on Sunday, July 10. Prior to the installation, beginning around 10 pm on Saturday, July 9, crews will set up the road closures and detours.

To minimize disruption of traffic, the work will take place on July 10 from approximately midnight to 5 am. Motorists will detour from the 460 Bypass at the Timberlake Road and Leesville Road interchanges and travel via Timberlake, Waterlick and Leesville Roads.

Signs and other traffic control devices will alert motorists to this change in traffic pattern. Virginia State Police will also assist with traffic control.
