BRIDGE INSPECTIONS ANNOUNCED
Motorists urged to use caution and plan for delays
LYNCHBURG-Bridge inspections which may require road or lane closures are scheduled at locations across the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) in June and motorists are urged to use caution and plan for possible delays.
June 4 Amherst Co. Rt. 640 over Pedlar River
Rt. 60 over Pedlar River
Rt. 151 over Piney River
June 8 Campbell Co. Rt. 460 west over 29 Bypass, Little Opossum Creek
Rt. 460 east over 29 Bypass, Little Opossum Creek
June 9 Campbell Co. Rt. 460 west over Little Opossum Creek
Rt. 460 east over Little Opossum Creek
June 10 Campbell Co. Rt. 29 south Bypass over NS Railway and Rt. 626
Rt. 29 north Bypass over NS Railway and Rt. 626
June 11 Halifax Co. Rt. 724 over NS Railway (road closed 9-11:30 am)
Lynchburg Rt. 29 south/460 west Bypass over NS Railway
June 12 Nelson Co. Rt. 6 over Buckingham Branch Railway
Rt. 714 over Rockfish River (road closed 12:30 -3:30 pm)
Appropriate traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists to these activities.
