ROUTE 716 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT PUBLIC HEARING TO BE RESCHEDULED

LYNCHBURG—Once again the possibility of wintry weather has canceled the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Route 716 bridge replacement project design public hearing in Halifax County.

The hearing was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 but delayed when winter weather closed public schools.  The meeting was rescheduled to the inclement weather date of March 25; however, current weather forecasts indicate that snow and/or rain will fall tomorrow and temperatures are expected drop from highs in the 70s over the weekend.

The new date for the meeting, to be held in an open-house format with VDOT staff on hand to discuss project information and answer questions, will be advertised.
