VDOT HOLDS PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON ROUTE 151 CORRIDOR STUDY IN NELSON COUNTY

LYNCHBURG —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public information meeting on the Route 151 Corridor Study currently being conducted in Nelson County

The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rockfish Valley Community Center, 190 Rockfish School Lane, Afton, VA 22920.   

VDOT is soliciting the public’s input on identification of issues along the corridor and potential solutions for the key intersections being examined as part of the study.  Following this meeting, potential solutions will be assessed to develop draft recommendations.  A second public meeting will be held in mid-April, exact date to be announced, to present and solicit public input on the draft recommendations, prior to preparation of the final report. 

VDOT staff will be available during this event to answer any questions. 

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until March 24, 2013  by mailing them to Rick Youngblood., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 4219 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, Va., 24501.  Comments also can be emailed to lynchburginfo@vdot.virginia.gov. Please reference “Route 151 Corridor Study Comment” in the subject heading.
