VDOT SEEKS INPUT ON RT. 676 PROJECT IN PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY
Replacement of Whitethorn Creek bridge is subject of June 26 design hearing
The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing to gather comments on the proposed design features of the Route 676 bridge that crosses Whitethorn Creek in Pittsylvania County.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gretna High School Cafeteria, 100 Gretna Hawk Circle in Gretna, VA 24557.
The project’s estimated cost is $3.2 million and is subject to change as the project’s design is finalized. Construction advertisement is currently scheduled for 2014.
Project plans and environmental documents, as well as right of way and easement information, will be available for review at the public hearing, as well as at VDOT’s Lynchburg District Office located at 4219 Campbell Ave. Lynchburg, VA 24501. Please call ahead to ensure that personnel are available to answer your questions.
VDOT staff will be available during the hearing to discuss the project and answer questions. Written and oral comments will be taken at the hearing. Written comments can also be submitted by June 1, 2012, to Ms. Raina A. Rosado, P.E., Project Manager, 4219 Campbell Ave. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
